DK Landscaping in the Community
DK believes it is our duty and a privilege to be able to give back to our wonderful community.
Although we are a landscaping company, our true mission is to create a better community.
Fallen Soldier Trust Fund Nova for Sgt. Ryan Connolly
Help us help Kayla Connolly with her education trust fund so that she may be able to go to college someday. Kayla’s father Sgt. Ryan Connolly was killed in Afghanistan serving our country. DK will donate $50.00 to Kayla’s education trust fund for each new maintenance account.
Senior Complex Gets Comfort after Attack
David Lee read in the Press Democrat that an 81 year old senior got raped at the Copeland Creek Affordable Senior Apartment Homes. A special town hall meeting was held and the seniors asked for the tall plants to be cut back so predators can’t hide.
David and Kathy Lee went to the complex and asked the manager if their landscaper had taken care of it. The manager said no. Since this is a low income apartment for seniors, we offered to cut back all the plants as community service. The manager accepted.
West Santa Rosa Baptist Church
Cleaned up church grounds and maintained landscape for 1 year. We were glad we were able to serve.
Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue
Matt LaCoco’s Eagle Scout Project involves renovating the landscape at Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue.
We were one of the major corporate donors for Matt LaCoco’s Eagle Scout Project for the Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue. We provided the expertise and a crew of 4 and installed a drip irrigation system.
Drive and Thrive Program
Carolina Linares was chosen for a $1,000 car repair through our “Drive and Thrive” program honoring hard working Hispanic workers. DK Landscaping paid for the repair done by Acur-It Imports. Linares needs the car to drive to her job.
The free one-time service took place on César Chavez Day as a tribute to César Chavez, a champion for Hispanic workers.
